FAQs
What are flexible spending and health savings accounts?
Can I buy Roamwell with my FSA/HSA card directly?
Yes. Most FSA/HSA cards will process automatically.
What’s covered?
FSA/HSA funds can be used on:
- Pain relievers (acetaminophen, aspirin)
- Allergy medication (loratadine, diphenhydramine)
- Nausea & motion sickness tablets (meclizine)
- Digestive relief (bismuth subsalicylate, antacids)
- Electrolyte supplements
- First-aid supplies (bandages, antiseptics, blister care)
- Rehydration packets
- Medical-purpose travel items such as cooling towels (medical cooling use)
These are all included in Roamwell’s curated kits — meaning your travel preparedness is eligible.
What if my card doesn’t go through?
Some plans require documentation. Just checkout with a normal card and submit your itemized receipt for reimbursement.
Are travel accessories covered?
Only items with a medical purpose are eligible. Our OTC medication kits and first-aid items are covered; non-medical accessories may not be.
Do I need a prescription?
Not for OTC medications covered under the CARES Act (2020), which restored OTC FSA/HSA eligibility without a prescription.
